Rania Kamal
Rania is a seasoned professional who is returning to the practice of therapy and committed to providing a non-judgemental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Rania has extensive experience as an office manager of vibrant and busy mental health clinics. This perspective of office manager has provided her with invaluable insights into the complexities of accessing, supporting, triaging, and managing a diverse array of mental health needs. At the same time, this role has also re-ignited her passion to return to providing therapy.
Before her journey in office management, Rania earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Ain Shams Univeristy, Cairo, Egypt. She has A CBT Diploma from Eton (UK) and is currently part of the Thrive's Early Career Professional (ECP) Program. As such, she is working closely under the supervision of Clinical Advising Director, Dr. Chasity O’Connell. To make therapy more accessible and support the growth and development of clinicians in the field, we are offering an adjusted pricing structure through our ECP program.
Rania's therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but she also believes that it can be helpful and important to explore those early childhood or family experiences to see how they inform a person's core beliefs. Most importantly, Rania believes that compassion, empathy, and respect for everyone’s unique experiences and perspectives are key to the practice of therapy.
